Season 10 2024

  • Episode #1: Rich and Sandi start setting the marten line and come face to face with the realities of the fire.  

  • Episode #2: Rich and Sandi get to check a handful of traps and struggle to tie the NE loop together.

  • Episode #3: The fire has made half the trap line impenetrable, but the fur check is going well.

  • Episode #4: The hardwork is paying off on the fur check. Rich shows some fur handling concerns on fisher and sets for under ice beaver.

  • Episode #5: Rich and Sandi tour through a day of homesteading and processing of their meat bird chickens. Marten and fisher trapping is as well as a peak into the hard life of a wild animal.

  • Episode #6: Rich and Sandi finally get to setting up lynx and checking snares. Belisle trap tip at the end of the episode.

  • Episode #7: Still frustrated by the fire Rich and Sandi reopen a part of the trapline they have let rest for a couple of years.

  • Episode #8: Marten, fisher and the lynx line including a look at Rich's lynx snare.

  • Episode #9: Great day on the line and Rich catches a little bit of every thing.

  • Episode #10: The homestead pigs take their rightful place in the food chain and then some wolf snaring.

  • Episode #11: Bees! Rich starts out on the Miedima Honey farm and then its off to the trapline and lynx. Rich does an experiment on his lynx snare to answer a viewers question.

  • Episode #12: First check after a -45 deepfreeze.

  • Episode #13: Last day of lynx and the otter are on the move!

Season 9 2023

  • Episode #1: Rich & Sandi start setting up the marten line.  

  • Episode #2: Rich and Sandi battle fallen trees to continue setting marten boxes. They also show their homesteading project of raising meat birds. 

  • Episode #3: Rich starts setting the lynx line and takes time in the fur shed to show how he turns long fur.

  • Episode #4: Its Boxing Day and the huge cold has broke. 

  • Episode #5: Rich and Sandi are joined by grandson Nathaniel on the trapline. 

  • Episode #6: Rich and Sandi host Carmela and Dan on the trapline. These two were the high bidders for a trip we donated to the WSFA auction. 

  • Episode #7: Rich is using power rams to snare coyotes. He demonstrates the set up of the ram and discusses why trappers need to continue trapping in a down market.

  • Episode #8: Rich talks about buying a new hip and then its the marten, fisher and lynx line.

  • Episode #9: Rich and Sandi help out another trapper who's line has been logged.

  • Episode #10: Fur is back! Rich talks about the recent FHA sale. Rich and Sandi tour around the homestead checking out the bees, chickens, ducks and turkeys.

  • Episode #11: Fire! Our trapline is on fire.

  • Episode #12: Wood day and Rich and Sandi venture into the edge of the burn. Then its lynx and otter.

  • Episode #13: Rich talks about the habitat conservation realities that modern drilling and fracking create and then its the final days of lynx and otter.

  • Episode #1: Rich & Sandi talk about season and and the start setting up the marten line.  March 28, 2022

  • Episode #2: Rich and Sandi battle the weather to trap muskrats. - April 4, 2021

  • Episode #3: Grandson Nathaniel comes trapping. Spoiler Alert big check this year!  April 11, 2021

  • Episode #4: Rich and Sandi extend the marten and fisher line. Rich tries a new lure. April 18, 2021

  • Episode #5: Rich is snaring coyotes on the home quarter.  April 25

  • Episode #6: Our contest winner guests are here! Brent and Angie from Manitoba make the trip to the trapline.  - May 2

  • Episode #7: A day on the lynx line with Rich.  May 9

  • Episode #8: Sandi bakes a cherry pie and Rich hits the marten and fisher line - July 5

  • Episode #9: Rich and Sandi show their chicken and duck homesteading set up. Then its a mixed bag of lynx, marten and otter. - July 12

  • Episode #10: 30 hours part 1. The weather has broke - but only for 30 hours and the second big chill hits. Rich is racing  the clock to get the check in. - July 19

  • Episode #11: 30 hours part 2. Surprisingly the fur catch is high and it takes even more time to get the check done. -July 26

  • Episode #12: Its wood day on the trapline. Then Sandi's lake line pays off big, and finally Rich checks the lynx line.- August 2

  • Episode #13: Rich checks otter and lynx after a big snow storm - August 9
